Unless you live under a rock, you have heard of essential oils. We all have that friend, relative or co-worker that can’t go a day without informing you on the AMAZING benefits these little drops have to offer. My personal experience was with a family member, she is a wonderful soul and has a heart of gold, but I drank the Kool-Aid just to shut her up!

My order arrived and I placed it on the counter, my enthusiasm to open the box was minimal to say the least. However, a few days later I got sick of looking at it and caved. I removed the contents, took a peek at my “starter kit” and decided to try it out. I mean really, what could it hurt to have some fragrant aromas flowing through the house? I started with the lavender and after a few hours I was hooked.

Understand, I hadn’t researched the benefits of these miracle oils, I was strictly going by what I had fragmentally heard and I have to admit, I wasn’t always paying attention. However, my home smelled like a spa and that was good enough for me!

I proceeded to venture out and explore other fragrances I felt I might find appealing. I moved on to lemon, eucalyptus, peppermint, a number of blends and even pure citronella to spray around my doors to keep mosquitoes at bay.

I now literally eat, sleep, breathe and bathe in the stuff… I use everything from lavender body wash, to thieves dental floss. I even have a travel diffuser that I don’t leave home without. 20150425_084010I personally have noticed changes in my sleep patterns, skin, hair and energy levels. So yes, I will take a side of sautéed mushrooms with my crow.

The company I order all of my products from is Young Living. I do not sell it, but throw a pebble and you are sure to hit someone who does. If you enjoy them as much as I do, I would recommend signing up as a distributor for the discount alone. The stuff is not cheap, but it is worth it. After a year of using this line I have done my research and am confident with what they are putting in their bottles. Sure, you can walk into a number of stores that carry “essential oils”, but from what I have personally experienced is the quality of many are sub-par. Be sure you are purchasing 100% pure seed oil for the best results. Check out the limitless possibilities they have to offer from personal use, to cleaning supplies. They worked for me, I hope they do the same for you ~
